Lee Ann Krause-Henry, MS, LPC

Is your child having difficulties expressing frustrations or interacting socially? Does your adolescent feel down or irritable? As an adult, are you stuck due to a harmful relationship or an unresolved childhood experience? Do you find yourself going through the motions of day-to-day activities or getting lost in negative thoughts? Collaborating with a Licensed Professional Counselor can help answer these and many more questions. Begin receiving support now to explore and answer those questions.
In therapy, I take time to develop an authentic relationship by ensuring every adult or child feels understood. My passion is to identify the clients’ strengths that will enable them to develop meaningful connections, make positive choices, and feel successful whether at home, school, or work. I also provide practical tools that improve social-communications, executive functioning, and emotional regulation as well as provide resources on parenting, grief, and self-care.
Through the use of researched-based interventions, including Mindfulness, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Positive Psychology, I specialize in working with children, adolescents and adults experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression. Counseling services for adolescents and children also address symptoms of ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Selective Mutism, and Reactive Attachment Disorder. I often incorporate strategies from play therapy, parent-child interactive therapy, and behavioral parent training.
I earned a BA in Psychology from Delta State University, MS in Counseling from the University of Memphis, and a Specialist in School Psychology (SSP) from Illinois State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology.
For twenty years, I have focused on improving the mental health needs of all individuals from young children to seniors and any age in between. I am always honored to collaborate with individuals and families, and I look forward to our journey together.
