Stephanie Swisher, MA, LPC
I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly supported and understood. My goal is to foster a comfortable and collaborative environment where we can work together to strengthen self-worth, build resilience, and develop the tools needed to create meaningful and lasting change.
I understand how unpredictable life can be, and I’m passionate about helping clients navigate life’s challenges while rediscovering the joy, balance, and peace they deserve. Life has its ups and downs, but how we move forward is what truly matters. I’m here to support you in working through difficult moments and celebrating your growth and triumphs along the way.

Areas of Expertise
I've had the privilege of working with adolescents and adults (ages 12 through 65+) who are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, anger, and substance use concerns. In addition, I support clients facing a variety of emotional and behavioral challenges, including ADHD, autism spectrum concerns, relationship difficulties, identity exploration, stress, and behavioral issues.
Therapy Approach
My therapeutic approach is client-centered and strengths-based, primarily using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I focus on helping clients build practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and work toward meaningful, achievable goals.
Education, License, and Professional Credentials
I received my bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi and my master’s degree in counseling from Lamar University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas and a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA).
Clinical Experience
I have provided both individual and group therapy in a variety of settings, including work with Child Protective Services (CPS) and private practice. I also have a background in education, having spent five years as a teacher before entering the counseling field. This experience influences my collaborative, skills-based approach to therapy.
