Contract Therapist Position 

Do you love being a therapist and helping people?  Are you looking for private practice without the expense and isolation?  Does marketing seem too daunting or time-consuming?  Then our group practice may be just the right place for you! 

Friendswood Counseling Center (FCC) was established to provide quality counseling services to individuals, couples, and families. Our goal is to partner with our clients to offer support and promote healing, personal growth and overall improved life satisfaction. Our team is comprised of a fun, collaborative team of licensed therapists. This is an ideal opportunity for the therapist who always wanted private practice with additional support and without the risk or loneliness!

FCC is seeking part-time and full-time independently licensed therapists to provide counseling services for a diverse client population on a contract basis. 
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Possess one of the following licenses: LPC, LCSW, LMFT
- Valid Texas license and ability to practice independently in the state of Texas (No interns or masters level clinicians still under 
   supervision)
- 2 years post-licensure (after receiving full state licensure for independent practice) clinical experience) clinical experience 
- Possess professional liability insurance  

Preferences: 
- Previous clinical experience in a community mental health, government agency or private practice setting
- Individually contracted with one or more insurance panels (United Healthcare, BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, MultiPlan/PHCS, etc.) or
   willingness to enroll
- EMDR trained and/or certification, TF-CBT

Job responsibilities/Skills required: 
- Provide initial diagnostic assessments utilizing the DSM-5 and ongoing therapy for individuals and families
- Strong DSM-5 diagnostic & clinical skills 

- Organized, attention to detail
- Personable, professional and able to work well with clients as well as our clinical and admin team
- Maintain appropriate and timely clinical documentation

- Exceptional time management
